For some time, I have been rather disappointed with my current web host: there have been counties instances of down time over this past year alone. This is despite a 99% up-time guarantee.

In view of this, and other issues, I have decided it is time for a change.

Over the next month or so I will be relocating to a new host, based here in the UK. It shouldn’t be too painful as I have a test server to migrate everything to first. Once everything is working, that gets moved to production and then it’s a simple task to point my domain to the new web space.

Well, it should be simple . . . . I haven’t done a major move like this in years, so it will be interesting to see if things are easier or more difficult than they used to be!
