Stars Die is a double CD of the bands best work for the Delirium Records label in the period 1991-1997. It comes in a nice box with a rather excellent 36 page booklet packed with interviews, rare pics and other goodies. As for the music, well there are 4 unreleased tracks, 3 brand new mixes and 3 previous single/EP only releases. One of these is the legendary title track.
It appears to be assembled in chronological order, too. Which is nice! So, if you like PT and need the unreleased stuff, go get it. If you are a first timer to this wonderful band, this is a good place to start as the album takes you through the lysergic output of their earlier tracks to the Floyd-sounding later ones to the point where they sound only like themselves. Marvellous. Most definitely recommended.
