Wow! What an album this is! I first heard of this singer/song-writer by way of a cover he did of Queen’s ‘Good Old Fashioned Lover Boy’. Impressed by his vocal abilities, I nipped out and got hold of the album under review.

It’s not quite rock, not quite rap and not quite pop. It’s a mixture of all these things and it is quite brilliant! From the opening acoustic based pop/rock of Life is Wonderful to the 8 minute closing track Song For A Friend, this album is sheer class. Great musicianship from his band only adds to the enjoyment of listening to this album. If you like Ben Folds, this album will be right up your street.
