Welcome to the Elegant Simplicity Blog - or Blogatorium - written by me, band leader Steven McCabe. I hope you enjoy reading my musings and learning about the latest things happening in the rarefied land of Elegant Simplicity.
This Blog should be your first port of call for all the latest site news, opinions, rants & raves, studio news and goodness knows what else! The most recent entries will always appear first.
Please feel free to leave your comments - you do not have to be registered to do so, but note that all posts are moderated before publication. Finally, this blog is not intended to offend anyone, but if it does, apologies!
I'm pleased to announce that a new MP3 only album (at 320kbps) is on the way. In fact, it will be released in time for the next newsletter at some point next week! And it will be entirely FREE to all subscribers to the newsletter or the website. That's right, you will get 80 minutes of superb music - in better than CD quality resolution - completely and utterly FREE!
Those of you tuning in tonight will no doubt have spotted that we have a new site design! I just have the logo to put in. Hope you like the new look - be sure to leave your comments!
I went to see Transatlantic on Saturday (22nd of May) over at the old manky Manchester Academy 1 in, er Manchester. My feelings regarding the venue notwithstanding, the conert was up there as being one of the best I have ever seen. They came on dead on 7.30pm and didn't go off until 11.30pm - thirty minutes after the supposed 11pm curfew. They only had a 15 minute break during the whole 4 hour extravaganza.
I recently added Bjorne Lynne's fantastic 2001 CD "The Gods Awaken" to our on-line shop (in the "Other Artists" section) . I only have a few of these original issues left: brand new, shrink-wrapped etc. Released on Proximity Records, this sold out very quickly and remains to this day one of Bjorns most popular releases. And it's only £6.00.
After a long time in the wilderness, the Reviews section is now open. Only a few in there to start off with, but as there are hundreds of the things it will be a slow process to get them all in, unless I do some serious messing around with databases! The annoying thing is that it has slightly broken the menu layout, which I will no doubt get around to fixing this century!
