Welcome to the Elegant Simplicity Blog - or Blogatorium - written by me, band leader Steven McCabe. I hope you enjoy reading my musings and learning about the latest things happening in the rarefied land of Elegant Simplicity.
This Blog should be your first port of call for all the latest site news, opinions, rants & raves, studio news and goodness knows what else! The most recent entries will always appear first.
Please feel free to leave your comments - you do not have to be registered to do so, but note that all posts are moderated before publication. Finally, this blog is not intended to offend anyone, but if it does, apologies!
Yikes! Can it be true? Yes, this legendary album from 2001 is now back in stock, having sold out a mere nine years ago!
This was our 13th album and is generally regarded as being one of our best releases. Featuring songs and instrumentals, this is a real beauty of a CD. My favourite track at the moment is Between Two Points. Love it! Is it wrong to like your own music?
Anyway, read the discography for the changes between this version and the original. Don't worry, the changes are subtle and only cosmetic - the music has not been re-mastered or tampered with. It sounded great way back then and it still stands up today. Then have a listen to 40 minutes of each track.
After that, why not pop over to the shop and buy it? It'll beat paying £50.00 + on eBay for it!
Welcome back to elegantsimplicity.com!
After a prolonged absence due to server issues, we are back - better than ever. All your favourite stuff is here (blogs, discography, shop, jukebox etc) but bigger and better than ever. There are still the hundreds of reviews to put in place as well as some more downloads but that can wait - the meat and potatoes is already here! Like the previous incartion of the site, we welcome your contributions, whether comments to posts like this or via the Forum. Enjoy.
I have added the Elegant Simplicity Bio and the Too Many Goodbyes Fact Sheet PDFs to the Press Room, for those of you interested in downloading these items.
Today, I managed to finish getting the discography into the new database. And a fine job it is, too. All the usual details are there + many extras. Enjoy.
As you may have noticed, the website has been missing in action for a few weeks - re-directing all-comers to www.proximityrecords
This is because of an alarming issue with the server the site was hosted on. I'm hopeful that that should now be fixed. While the site was down, I took the liberty of finishing off the re-vamp I had long ago promised. Hope you like it. A few more things to implement, but it's looking pretty good!
