Finally, after nearly a year (!) I am pleased to report that a day ago I began the rebuild of the new studio!
The first job was to get some furniture, and to this end I had shipped over from Thomann in Germany a super fabuolus producer workstation. This desk is an absolute beast! Room for all the toys,computer, monitor keyboards and what-not.
The beast:
It took three hours to build. Given there was only me doing it, I was quite pleased with the progress. According to other sources, it should take 2 people three hours. Anyway , the thing is massive, heavy as chuff and has 8 castors!
The realy beauty of the desk is that once everything is wired in, I can move it to anywhere in the room - full mobility!
So, that's stage 1 over with! The next job is to get all my equipment wired in, screwed in and generally laid out to suit my way of working. Once that's accomplished, let the music making begin!
