Whilst checking out GEMM today, I noticed that someone was offering our 1999 CD The Story of Our Lives for a whopping £53.45 . . . . . USED!
This is crazy when we sell it NEW (including postage) for just £8.99.
I have noticed some more daft prices for our stuff on that site (and other 'collectors' sites) and I do wonder what these sellers are trying to do (aside from making some money). Do they not bother to check if the CDs are available elsewhere? Do they have no idea of the rarity value, or otherwise, of what they are selling?
There is a word for it. The word is exploitation. Some would say market forces, blah, blah, blah . . . . but in such cases as described above, I would call it exploitation.
