If you ever loved the music of Genesis, Yes, Pink Floyd, Mike Oldfield, Flower Kings, Jethro Tull or the Alan Parsons Project you will love Elegant Simplicity.
Mixing instrumentals and songs with rare depth and beauty, you will be transported back to a time when rock dinosaurs ruled the earth! Elegant Simplicity are no anachronistic sound-a-likes, though: our music is thoroughly original, though strangely familiar. With a vast catalogue of albums to our credit, we think we know what we're doing!
Check out our latest CD Too Many Goodbyes - the Santana-Gilmour like guitar-work and whiplash keyboards will keep you glued to the CD player. Superb modern production, intelligent lyrics and skillfully arranged music - be sure to check it out!
The January 2012 Newsletter has just been sent out. In it, you will find all the information regarding the re-mastered release of our 1992 Nocturnal Implications album. Plus, some stuff about the hidden shop and my trusty POD XT Pro going bye bye! All good stuff. As usual, if you want a copy, make sure you sign up for it!
Great news - our 1992 album (the second of that year) has finally been remastered and will be in the shop within the next day or two! The title track is a thing of wonder :)

As a thank you to everyone for unflailing support this year (despite the non-appearance of the new CD!) I present the above code. Use it at checkout time to get 30% off your order. You can use it as many times as you like and can even pass the code to anyone else who might like to save some money! The code is valid on anything in the shop and will expire midnight 31st December 2011.
After languishing in the archives since 1994, I'm pleased to announce that the re-mastering project continues apace with the arrival this month of another one of our releases from 1994. The all-instrumental, all-electronic Inside the Hurting. This all digital recording sounds super-shiny and is in the shop right now at £3.49.
Everyone knows Mike Portnoy is no longer in the band . . . but I'm not ging to mention that! What I am going to mention is just how great this record is. Honesty, there isn't a duff track on the whole CD. To my ears, it is their second best album - coming only just behind the sheer magnificence of Scenes From a Memory.
It's heavy and very melodic all at the same time. It goes without saying that, musically, the band deliver on all levels. If anything, there is less 'widdly' than on previous records. However, there seems to be more keyboards, which is fine in my book!
Breaking All Illusions is phenomenal, but it is the shorter This Is The Life which is my favourite. And it happens to have John Petrucci's best solo in years on it. Superb stuff. And Outcry is awesome, too.
I would also suggest that if you are a DT virgin, then this would make a great introduction to their music.
An oustanding album and, along with Opeth's Heritage, must surely be competing for album of the year.
